With the Ecological and Environmental Code coming into effect in August, biodegradable modified PVC films are poised to benefit from favorable policy developments.

The newly promulgated Environmental Protection Code of the People’s Republic of China, scheduled to take effect on August 15, 2026, explicitly encourages the use of recyclable and biodegradable plastic film products. Luoyang Lvzhihui has launched PVC3000, a bio‑degradable masterbatch that enables PVC films to degrade under controlled conditions in landfill and marine environments, making it suitable for applications such as food packaging and shopping bags. Certified by multiple international environmental standards, the company has already established large‑scale technical collaborations with more than ten PVC film manufacturers, supporting the industry’s green transformation.
